Gerund = V.ing ที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นคำนาม (Noun)
✅ แปลว่า “การ...” เช่น
reading = การอ่าน
swimming = การว่ายน้ำ

 

โครงสร้าง:

V.ing เดี่ยว ๆ = Noun

ตัวอย่าง ความหมาย
Reading is fun. การอ่านสนุก
I like swimming. ฉันชอบการว่ายน้ำ
Eating too much is bad. การกินมากเกินไปไม่ดี

 

✅ ใช้ Gerund เมื่อเป็น S, เป็น O หลัง Prepo เหมือนคำนาม

  1. เป็น Subject ของประโยค
    → Running is good for your health.

  2. เป็น Object ของกริยา
    → I enjoy listening to music.

  3. หลัง Preposition (after, by, without, before, etc.)
    → After studying, I went to bed.
    → She left without saying goodbye.
